3. 閱讀：學校有一個通知，提供大四記者專業的學生到真正的報社實習(newspaper internship)，可以抵一個大四的課程。
聽力：女生同意，自己也想去，說了兩個理由：(1) gain experiments looks good on resume;(2) 有學分，可以不用上其他的課，有更多時間為newspaper 寫report。
4. 閱讀：planning fallacy: fail to consider all the possible factors that affect the project and lead to the inaccuracy in estimate the time that cost to complete then lead to bad consequences，意思是人很難預測到潛在的問題(potential problems)。
聽力：教授舉了自己的例子。他在大學時，有一次教授 tell them couple months in advance, but hethink himself as a fast worker, so he didn’t do in until the day before deadline。到了圖書館，借了書，寫一半發現不夠，材料只夠寫6 頁，于是又回圖書館，可是關門了，所以只能遲交作文，最后得了很低的分數，雖然他教授覺得他的內容很好。
5. 男生在spring break 要去西班牙玩，準備拍照，但是數碼相機丟了，女生讓他買，但是他說沒有enough money。他自己說他朋友Jack 可以借給他，但是他不想向他借。女生說：對，萬一broken或者 stolen 就不好了。
6. 水里的動物如何適應rapid current，教授舉了兩個例子。(1) black fly larva 身體底下有吸盤，像anchor，吸在石頭上;(2) 是sculpin，沒有魚鰾，沉在水底sink in water。
