　　【quit thinking 停止……想法】
　　quit跟stop一樣，后面跟著-ing 表示 “停止某種動作”，后面跟著不定詞時意思是 “停下來做某項動作”，例如：quit smoking“戒煙”，stop to smoke“停下來抽煙”。
　　A: We have been running for an hour. Let’s stop to take a rest.
　　我們已經跑了一個鐘頭了。讓我們停下來休息。
　　B: But be sure you don’t smoke.
　　但是你可不能抽煙。
　　A: I promised you to quit smoking, I honor my word.
