4月16日上午，CCTV“希望之星”英語風采大賽湘潭賽區復賽在我們東方紅學校舉行。
我去的時候比賽已經開始了，只見向思璐站在上面緊張地表演著，帶動著我也緊張了起來。我一看序號，呀！馬上就到我了，于是我趕到座位上，其他同學都全神貫注地看著表演者，我也自作鎮定的等待著。
啊，馬上就到我了，我再也掩飾不住那緊張的情緒，心在不停“咚咚，咚咚”地跳著。輪到我上場了，我懷著激動而忐忑不安的心情走上了講臺。我首先敬了個禮，做了自我介紹，然后開始有聲有色的表演我的節目，英語小故事《AGOODBOY》。我平復一下自己的情緒，然后流利地講著我的故事，邊講還邊做動作，仿佛進入了天真的`情境。評委老師專注地聽著我的故事，不時用筆記一下什么，我看到一位評委老師的眼睛里露出了一點笑意，我如釋重負。我的表演結束了，回答完老師的問題后，敬了個禮，便退場了。
比賽結束后，在回家的路上媽媽接到電話：“您的孩子成功突圍，晉級決賽了。”我知道后，高興地跳了起來，此時此刻，我想起了之前努力的情形：到老師家上完輔導課后，回家一遍又一遍的練習，經常練到晚上9點多……這些都是值得的。我現在最要感謝的是爸爸、媽媽還有那位輔導老師。
正所謂：功夫不負有心人。我從這次比賽中明白了一個道理：只要有辛苦的付出，就會有更好地回報，我要繼續認真準備，爭取在決賽中取得好的成績。

the dog then ran away, the bird quickly flew back into his cage and the man from the house carried him safely home.
