　　I read your post on the job portal about your requirement for an experienced and licensed truck driver for cross-country hauling. With more than 10 years of driving experience and an excellent track-record, I believe I am a good candidate for you.

　　I’ve wanted to be a truck driver even since I was a little kid – the inspiration came from my Uncle Herman who worked for a local bakery chain and used to drive around his lorry all around the town. I loved his job and wanted to take it up as a profession when I grow older. I have been working as a truck driver for over 10 years now, and my passion for long drives has not faded even a bit. I enjoy long journeys - the scenery, the roads and the opportunity to travel to new cities as a part of my job.

　　My driving record is quite positive with no speeding tickets, rash driving or other penalties issued against me. I am licensed to drive large rigs as well as small trucks, and am adept at driving fully-loaded trucks over long distances.

　　I take pride in turning clients into friends with my excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I have a sterling track record of providing excellent customer service from the time I leave the loading dock until I complete the delivery at the other end.

　　I am extremely conscientious and responsible, knowing when to take a rest and catch up on sleep when it is needed. I never adopt a casual stance while driving, as my life as well as the precious cargo that I am transporting is my responsibility, and I aim to deliver it to the right destination swiftly but responsibly. My co-workers and supervisors describe me someone who is reliable, honest and enjoys driving.
