1 ①Homework has never been terribly popular with students and even many parents, but in recent years it has been particularly scorned. ②School districts across the country, most recently Los Angeles Unified, are revising their thinking on his educational ritual. ③Unfortunately, L.A. Unified has produced an inflexible policy which mandates that with the exception of some advanced courses, homework may no longer count for more than 10% of a student’s academic grade.

21.It is implied in paragraph 1 that nowadays homework_____.

[C]is not required for advanced courses

      [D]is gaining more preferences

1 ①Hunting for a job late last year, lawyer Gant Redmon stumbled across CareerBuilder, a job database on the Internet. ②He searched it with no success but was attracted by the site’s “personal search agent.”

41. How did Redmon find his job?

[A] By searching openings in a job database.

CareerBuilder就指的是“a job database”。

4①…conclude that the act of memorizing is more of a cognitive exercise than an intuitive one.

23. According to Ericsson, good memory

[B] results from intuitive rather than cognitive exercises.

文中出現了more...than...
