　　Ellen:Can we dive in Australia anywhere anytime we want?

　　埃倫:我們在澳大利亞能隨時隨地去潛水嗎?

　　Jay:Absolutely not. Australia is such a huge country that it makes it hard to give accurate overall information about the conditions since it changes drastically from one destination to the other.

　　杰伊:當然不行。澳大利亞國家很大，各地之間的水文狀況急劇變化，這樣就不能掌握所有約水文清況。

　　Ellen:Do we have to take other things into consideration?

　　埃倫:我們潛水需要考慮很多事情嗎?

　　Jay:Yes. There are a lot of things you need to consider including air temperature, average water temperature, average visibility, current and depth.

　　杰伊:是的。很多事情都需要考慮，其中包括氣溫、平均水溫、平均能見度、水流狀況和水深。

　　Ellen:That is a tough work. What is the suitable average water temperature?

　　埃倫:真的是很麻煩啊。那最適宜潛水的平均水溫是多少?

　　Jay:The average water temperature ranges from 20℃to 31℃ year round. In the south, during Winter, the water can get chilly!

　　杰伊:全年的平均水溫是20到31度，南部冬天時節水會變得刺骨得涼!

　　Ellen:What about the average visibility?

　　埃倫:那平均能見度呢?

　　Jay:You can expect 15 to 20 meters on the local dive sites and up to 50 meters if you go on the offshore dive sites.

　　Ellen:I know diving is actually a very dangerous activity. What did you do before you were permitted to dive underwater?

　　Jay:I have done many things in order to get myself certified. In the first place,I had my insurance signed at local office. Then I registered my personal information in case of any incidents. The local operator gave me my medical check before he authorized me to rent my own scuba.

　　Ellen:Is that all?

　　Jay:Definitely not. The operator gave me a few hours of training and he showed how to deal with any dangerous situations. For example, what I should do when a shark try to attack me.

　　Ellen:Wow. If I were you, I would give up when I heard him talking like this.
