1. blur v. 變模糊;弄臟
blur with sth. 被……弄模糊
My vision blurred with fog.
我的視野被大霧弄得模糊不清。
2. bribe v. & n. **;收買，賄賂
take /offer a bribe **/** give /offer /hand out bribes to sb. 向某人**
bribe sb. into silence 用賄賂封住某人的嘴 be bribed into secrecy 受了賄替某人保密
The manager of construction company offer bribes to the mayor with 3 million yuan.
那個建筑公司的總經理向市長**300萬元。
3. browse v. 瀏覽;隨意翻閱;放牧
I enjoy browsing in the bookstore on weekends.

4. brutal a. 殘酷的
跟brutal意思類似的還有幾個詞，它們的細微區別如下：
brutal 指極端殘忍，強調無情或缺乏同情心，含有不擇手段的意味。
cruel 一般性用詞，指行動或態度的殘忍。
inhuman 著重指缺乏同情心、仁愛等人類特有的良好品質。
savage 指缺乏文明人應有的教養，尤指在動怒或沖動時表現出的粗野蠻橫，含野蠻意味。
fierce 指天性兇惡，令人害怕。
It is brutal to kill dogs and show the process on the Internet.
殺死小狗然后將視頻展示在網上是很殘忍的。
5. capsule n. 密封艙;太空艙;膠囊
These capsules are beneficial to the heart.
這些膠囊對心臟有好處。
1. carve v. 刻;切開
carve into 把某物雕刻成某東西
Please do not carve on the bamboo when going sightseeing.
觀光時請勿在竹子上亂刻。
2. casualty n. 傷亡人員
casualty insurance 意外事故保險 a casualty list 傷亡名單
Many casualties are reported in the battle.
這次戰斗傷亡慘重。
3. cater to v. 迎合;滿足
He did everything to cater to his girlfriend.
他做了一切事情來討他女朋友歡心。
4. caution n. 小心;警示，慎重 v. 警告
表示警告、忠告的詞還有advise，warn，counsel等，它們之間有如下差別：
caution 主要針對潛在危險提出警告，含有小心從事的意味。
advise 普通用詞，泛指勸告，不涉及對方是否聽從勸告。
warn 警告，含義與caution相同，但語氣較重，尤指嚴重后果。
counsel 正式用詞，語氣比advise強一些，側重指對重要問題提出的勸告、建議或咨詢。

5. cherish v. 珍視;懷有
cherish既可表示珍惜，也可表示懷有某種打算。
cherish an intention of doing sth.
Both of them cherish their hard-won marriage.
他們兩人都很珍惜這段來之不易的婚姻。
