we had an english evening yesterday. there were many performances. almost everyone took part in it. miss tang joined us. she sang us some nice english songs, we enjoyed her sweet voice very much. helen's recitation was so good that she gave three encores.
peter, eric, and martin's short play was so interesting that we couldn't help laughing. towards the end of the party we danced and sang together. we not only practiced our english but also had a good time.

記得那一次上課，郝老師剛說完上課就笑瞇瞇地在黑板上寫下兩個大字“練習”，全班同學都沸騰了，認為是大顯身手的好機會。我想：憑我平時讀過的書，拿個名次絕對是張飛吃豆芽――小菜一碟！
老師剛抄下一道題，教室里立刻鴉雀無聲，只有沙沙的聲音，同學們用“武器”攻擊這些“堡壘”，有的不會只好“跳”過去。我很快做完了題，一數只有一道不會做，我興高采烈在交了上去，老師掃射了一遍，會做的全對。同學們沒有全會的，我與另一個同學并列第一。
下面是搶答題，同學們有的張開了“血盆大口”；有的則胸有成竹端坐著；有的則手忙腳亂的補充“能源”？我屬于第二類人。老師剛報出題目，有的就“怒吼”出答案，唯恐老師“接收”不到；有的則在那兒苦思冥想，做一臉“苦瓜狀”；有的則在翻書？這次，我搶答了三道，排名第二。
