Hong Zhanhui, a Chinese boy of 24, was born in a poor family. His mother left the family when he was very young. He had to look after his sick father, adopted sister and younger brother. He lived a hard life, but he never gave up his studies and went to college at last. He still worried about his sister, so he took her with him to the university.
Many people wanted to give him some help, but he refused. He found a job to make money for his family. He knew he must depend on himself.
