　　In August 28, 1937, the Japanese aggressors bombed the ShangHai Railway Station. The scene was a mess, and the stench emanated from the decay of the corpse. Wow - Wow - wow, a baby's cry broke the dead silence. Lying next to the children's parents is a happy family. They are preparing to return home and visit their relatives. But all of this changed in an instant, and the baby became an orphan. A good man adopted him.

　　今年四月到六月，我參加了20xx年“希望之星”英語風采大賽。這可是全國性的比賽哦！必須要闖過海選、市賽和省賽三關，才能去北京參加中央電視臺的總決賽。

　　參加市賽的早上，我和媽媽坐車到了目的地。當時，太陽特別大，天特別熱，而且人山人海。我們到了之后趕緊報到，接著就排隊去比賽了。因為我是最后一個，等了好久才輪到我，裁判先讓我抽圖，準備看圖說話，再自我介紹。我覺得自己前兩個環節表現得挺好的，最后是回答問題，這個環節有點難，四個題中我只答出兩個。緊接著裁判宣布結果，我心想：肯定有我！肯定有我！結果，真的有我！我拿了市賽一等獎，進入了省賽。

　　省賽的準備過程是非常艱難的，又是背臺詞，又是準備自我介紹，還有模擬考試。僅僅是看圖說話環節，一訓練就是一上午……

　　終于迎來了省賽。我懷著緊張的心情走進賽場，里面很安靜，選手們都在努力地背詞，我也不甘示弱。自我介紹環節，我們都做得非常好，看圖說話環節就比較慘了，得知成績后，我的心情非常低落，爸爸媽媽安慰我，要我別泄氣，要我在下午最后一個環節加油，還特意給我復習了幾遍演講內容，我的心情又明朗起來。下午的比賽開始了，輪到我上場了，我站在臺上，信心十足地完成了演講，最后的`分數還不錯哦！

　　我的20xx年“希望之星”英語風采大賽結束了，雖然我沒有踏上國賽舞臺，但是我雖敗猶榮！這個過程中，我見識到了那些高手們的厲害！我一定要好好學習英語！我一定會回來的！明年再戰！
