電視里正在播放少兒英語節目，我坐在電視機前，也跟著一起說讀。這時，爺爺做完飯從廚房走了過來，笑著說：“航航，你英語說得這么好，能不能教教我？”，爺爺買上是快70歲的人了，還要學英語？我真的不敢相信自己的耳朵，還拍了拍自己的.頭，以為自己是在做夢。我對爺爺說： “爺爺，我的英語說得真的不好，您找別人學吧！”。“你就別吹牛了，你的英語說得好的很！”我也說不過爺爺，只能來教爺爺英語。
我們來到房間里，我開始教爺爺最簡單的英文單詞。我這個小老師像模像樣的從抽屜上拿出一張白色卡紙，在上面寫了一五個英語單詞，開始認真教讀起來。最好笑的要數地三個英文單詞的時候了。我用手指著“banana”這個英文單詞，故意將小嘴的動作弄得很夸張，爺爺也跟著讀起來。看著她那很一本正經的樣子，我這個小老師該很敬業才是呀，要不然就太對不住奶奶了。于是，我提升了難度，把這個英文單詞的寫法告訴了爺爺。只見爺爺握著鋼筆筆，照葫蘆畫瓢的在本子上寫下了“banana”，還不停地念著：“不拉了，不拉了……”我聽了，不禁笑起來了。哈哈，爺爺快70歲的人，還想學英語，還學得這么投入，真是一件新的事。

第三、仿寫課文。這里的課文包括簡單的對話、段落和短文。這實際也是仿寫句子的一種延伸。也是替換課文中的關鍵詞，讓它再另外自成一篇。我現在教的一些中等水平的學生都基本能很好地仿寫課文，有時還能有讓人驚喜的創新。
最后，讓能力較好的學生試著寫命題作文。
在教英語作文時，切忌急于求成，要由簡到難，循序漸進，一步一步地走。如果，一上手就讓學生寫命題作文，他們就會望而生畏，卻步不前，不知道從哪里下手。
