Ladies and Gentlemen :
Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
First I want to ask you some questions:
1、 Do you know what is youth?
2、 How do you master your youth?
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

寫英語演講稿2
又是一天深夜，在抗住了八九點的困意并且寫完了其他作業后的我開始完成今天最艱巨的任務——英語演講稿。打開電腦，原本想在之前寫過的稿子上(盡管只寫了開頭，而且句子太長不適合當演講稿)進行修改，進入桌面，這才發現原來文件被存在另外一個電腦里，已經不可能拷貝過來了，我偏偏又不記得自己寫了些什么。
無奈之下，我又盯了很久的桌面，卻又一直沒能找到Word的圖標，突然，我想起來它要打開已有的文件再進到新文件。我看了看右下角的時間，5分鐘過去了，我連標題都還沒打呢。我之前從來沒寫過這一類文章，看來今晚注定又是一個不眠之夜。我翻開了之前去培訓時所寫下的筆記。看了看仍然沒有什么思路。要不就憑自己的感覺隨便試試?我寫了個引子，然后又在開頭試著提出質疑：兩個問句，接著順著回答來寫。現在文章的思路已經基本上出來了：就是接著往里面填內容了。
雖然在寫之前就準備好了素材，寫的'時候還是得在翻譯界面和輸入頁反復切換。這時，我真的非常質疑自己的英語水平：這個單詞可不可數?這個單詞到底什么意思?有沒有這種用法?句子怎樣才能寫的長短適中?連接詞用哪一個?……幸好Word自帶有檢查的程序，要不然我又會因為不熟悉鍵盤打字而錯誤百出了。
寫完稿子已經很晚了，我關上電腦，檢查都懶得了，拉上眼罩呼呼大睡——修改是明天的事了。
